How to protect your information with a password

Advanced Diary lets you protect your data with a password. To activate the password protection function, choose Tools – Password protect in the main menu of the program.

You will see a dialog box, where you will need to enter and confirm your current database protection password.

If you select option “Request password on restore from system tray”, the program will request password each time user tries to access main window from the system tray.

Click the “OK” button.

From now on, the program will encrypt the database and will request a password for accessing data.

Warning: Please be careful. If you will lose or forget your password, you will not be able to access your information.

To deactivate password protection, choose Tools – Password protect from the main menu of the program. If the function is active, you will see a checkmark near this menu option.

Click it and password protection will be deactivated.
