Backup

The Backup function is used to create a backup copy of Advanced Diary databases. It creates a CAB archive file, which contains a program's database. You can use this file to restore database if it will be necessary.

To make a backup copy, click the "File - Backup" Advanced Diary main menu item.

After that you will see the Backup dialog box:

Specify the backup files location. If the "Create a copy of all database files" option is turned on, Advanced Diary will create a backup copy of each database, listed in the Database manager.

If this option is turned off, Advanced Diary will create a backup copy of active database only.

After that, press the "OK" button.

You will see a progress indicator of the backup at the bottom of the window.

When backup completed, you will receive an appropriate message.

Note: Advanced Diary can create the backup copies automatically. See the Backup options help topic for more details.
