How to upgrade C-Organizer v3.x to further versions

Old database import:

Actually C-Organizer Lite is not the next version of C-Organizer Standard or C-Organizer Professional. When you install C-Organizer Lite, by default it will be installed into a separate folder. If you would like to use your information from the older version of C-Organizer, you can open old database using the "Database manager" or import it using the "Import" function.

When C-Organizer will detect the old database format, it will offer to convert it.

If old database contains entries in the Address Book next dialog box will appear:

In order to convert your information in the Address Book section, please map the old fields in the "Source fields" list to the new fields in the "Destination fields" list.

To map fields, please select the source field and the destination field you want to map, and then press the "Map" button.

If you cannot find an appropriate Destination field to map, you can create a new one. Just click the "New" button, enter field name and select field type.

Please note that you can map more than one Source filed to a Destination field.

All mapped fields are listed in the bottom box. You can delete mapped fields by pressing the "Delete" button, or clear all mapped fields by pressing the "Clear" button.

When you complete fields mapping, click the "OK" button. You will see the next window with the results:

Note: The new versions of C-Organizer does not have backward compatibility with v3.x. Because of it C-Organizer will create a copy of the old database after conversion. File will be created in the same location where converted database and will have the "*.OLD" file extension.
